About

Emily is a Malaysian undergraduate who lives to eat. Her taste is heavily influenced by her Penangite parents (Penang is a well-known food paradise in Malaysia) and also from her travels to Melbourne, Bangkok, Iloilo City, Singapore, and Atlanta, to name a few.

Besides her family and friends, food and coffee seem to be paramount in her life; be it for comfort (typically while undergoing stress while studying), travelling, daily topics of conversation, blogging, the need for coffee every time she writes, and most recently her job at Burpple.

Her lifelong dream is to be able to travel independently and write. She aims to cover all of Southeast Asia within the next 3 years (Brunei, Burma, East Timor, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam are the SEA countries she has yet to visit). If not making travel plans, writing about food or focusing on her job, she'd be watching television series like The Big Bang Theory, 2 Broke Girls and The Originals or reading a fictional book at a cafe.
